Earlier this month we had the privilege of joining the teenagers of Providence Baptist Church (in Bucharest) for a week long trip to the Republic of Moldova. During this trip we took part in daily Bible Clubs for the children while some members of the church came to help rebuild the church in Moldova. Providence Baptist Church was able to offer funds and labor to do some much needed work to the building and the area around the church.
Project Ruth and Providence have had a close relationship with this church for sometime as it serves as one of our (Project Ruth) extension centers. This relationship is very important to both of us, Romanians and Moldavians. It was a blessing to see the teenagers give of themselves to these children in Moldova.
Not only did we participate in clubs and construction, but we also spent many evenings meeting with other local churches for a time of worship and fellowship. We met so many wonderful people this week and were able to strengthen relationships with teenagers we already knew. There are already plans to make the same trip next year and we will definitely be there!
