Staff Dinner

How do you say thank you to the people who have made a huge difference in your life? We have been struggling with this question as our time in Romania comes to an end. There have been people here who have changed our lives and changed our experience here. Mostly because of the love they shown towards us and the way they helped us to adjust into this life and culture here. I am convinced there is no way to say thank you with full measure. We can only hope the Holy Spirit intervenes and fills their minds and hearts with the same love.

But still, we wanted to say thank you to several different people. This has mainly been done through meals, fellowship and meaningful conversations. Moments that we will hold onto forever. Most recently we decided to thank the entire Project Ruth staff as a whole (would be too difficult to do as a one-on-one basis). Through some careful organizing we took the staff to the Danube River (an hour south of Bucharest) to eat at a wonderful restaurant on the river. During our time there we were able to express our gratitude and offer a gift of thanks and remembrance. Thankfully everyone was able to be there with the exception of Andy. Andy - if you read this - you were missed!
