Time for us to leave is quickly approaching! We're leaving in 10 days, can you believe it? We thought this day would never come. As part of our preparation to leave, we are spending time with family members and saying our goodbyes. We've been extremely busy, so I apologize for not posting sooner. Here's an update on what we've been doing:
- Last Friday, we went to Brookshire to visit Susan's grandmother (Dad's mom). We spent the day with her and ate lunch at The Brookwood Community.
- Friday we drove back to College Station to stay the weekend with Susan's other grandmother. Susan's parents and brother also came in town. We went garage sale shopping in the morning and later on went swimming and hung out with family. We also spent this time with Dee Morwood and Blake and Sawyer Epting. Sunday, all of us worshipped at Parkway Baptist Church where we also had the opportunity of sharing during worship about the ministry we're about to be involved.
- Sunday night, Richard, Wes and I went to church with our parents at Taylors Valley Baptist Church. They had a choir special as a thanks to their interim music minister for all that he did while at TVBC. Afterwards, there was a reception and then our family spent some quality time at Starbucks.
- Monday, we spent some time getting reorganized and repacked for another week with family. We left Belton and went to Dallas to spend the evening with Jodi and Steve Wilson. We ate a wonderful dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. We ordered cheesecake for dessert, took it back to their house and visited while we enjoyed our dessert. We spent the night with them and left on Tuesday.
- Tuesday, Wes and I went into Dallas to do some shopping at North Park Mall. We were trying to get some more things that we need to buy before leaving for Romania. As much fun as shopping is, I'll be glad when we're all set and don't need to shop anymore.
- After shopping, we headed to Lake Tawakoni to visit Wes' parents. We are here now and are going to enjoy a few days of relaxing and visiting with them until Friday. After this we'll be in Belton until our departure on September 2nd.
