As many of you know my parents recently visited us in Bucharest. They were our first official visitors, by official I mean coming specifically to see us and spend time with us. We get visitors a lot from different parts of the US and UK here to work with Project Ruth and the Ruth School. We love spending time with visitors and it is always a treat but there is just something different about family coming to see you.
Almost a few months after we had arrived, they settled on a date to come and the countdown began. Finally, the day we were waiting for had arrived. We were so excited to see them and share this side of home with them. They got a real handle on where we live and the work we do here. During their stay we toured Bucharest, took a trip to Budapest and Vienna and even did some sightseeing in the countryside of Romania. I won't elaborate on everything we did but if you would like to read about things specifically and see pictures then check out my mom's blog at:
Jan's Blog
She has been journaling day by day, and city by city the things we did together. It's worth checking out. We had such a blast together and I was sad to see them go but they are already talking about the next trip to Romania!

Like the new layout... I'm working on our experiences and hope to be finished with the blog soon.
I like the new layout. At first I thought I was on the wrong blog. How can I put one of those counters on my blog, oh helpful, techonologically advanced friends???
