When summer comes and school lets out we know that we will have a full summer of visiting teams, Bible club at the Ruth School and a lot of great memories. The one downfall is that we are taken out of our normal routine and hardly able to find any office time (some of you may not see this as a downfall). We love the interaction with our new friends and the fun they have with the Ruth School students, but that leaves little time to stay organized and blog.
Today is just one of those days where it can be completey dedicated to life back at the office and taking care of all the catch-up. Top on this list is to tell all of you how we are. It seems that everyday since June 26 we've had a team/visitors in Bucharest. I (Susan) have loved the social interaction and Wes is left a bit drained at times (he is the introvert).
Since our last blog we have had 3 more groups of people come and go through Project Ruth: Hendricks Avenue from Florida, Monument Heights from Virginia and another group organized by the Virginia Baptist Mission Board. The puzzle this year was trying to figure all the logisitcs since every team overlapped at some point. We made it work and survived...kind of. I think the physical exhaustion finally caught up with me leaving me in bed for a few days with some not-so-nice symptoms. Luckily Wes picked up my slack and all went smooth. I am feeling better now and good timing because we have another team arrive tomorrow!
So if you don't hear from us for awhile you know what we are doing and we will report back when we can. For now, we hope you are enjoying your summer and staying cool. ~Peace~
