Spring Break at the Ruth School

In the summer of 2007, Catherine Hasty (Aiken, SC) visited Project Ruth with a group from her church. Nearly 2 years later she revisited but with a little different program. Her first trip involved organizing summer Bible clubs for the Ruth School kids. This time she came while the kids were in school. She spent the week visiting classes, practicing English with older students and reconnecting with some Romanian youth she met on her previous visit.

Catherine's dad, Tim, has been coming to Romania for several years on business. Each time he is town we enjoy getting together, catching up over a meal or two. His daughter was on spring break during this last visit and they thought it would be great for her to come along and spend time at Project Ruth while he was working. Wes and I did not get a chance to meet Catherine on her last visit and were thrilled that she would make another before our time here ended. We enjoyed two meals together during their week stay. We are thankful for the friendship the Hastys have given and for the support they continue to give to Project Ruth.
